Description

Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 3. Limited to juniors/seniors. In-depth introduction to work of classic social theorists, Karl Marx and Max Weber. Examination of their influence on anthropology. Exploration of recent attempts to synthesize both perspectives. P/NP or letter grading.
