Seminar, three hours. Enforced requisites: course 23B, and English Composition 3 or 3H or English as a Second Language 36. Limited to first-year freshmen. Topics include origins and ideas of performance, art and performance, and music as cultural expression. Satisfies Writing II requirement. Letter grading.
