Description

Seminar, three hours. Preparation: background in statistical inference and basic proficiency in Python programming. With ever-expanding prevalence of digital technology, imagining a counterfactual world without it grows increasingly complex. Examination of how algorithms shape society, impact democracy, and propagate bias. S/U or letter grading.
