Lecture, one hour; laboratory, one hour. Requisites: courses 11, 41 (or equivalent). Enforced corequisite: course 182C. Empirical analysis requiring application of material from course 182C to the development of the U.S. Economy from World War I to 1980s. Focus on application of economic models and empirical analysis to understand what drove the evolution of the economy, why structural changes occurred, and why there was persistence. P/NP or letter grading.
