Foundations: Contexts for Teaching, Learning, and Development

Description

Lecture, four hours. Requisites: courses 10 or 11, and 35. Limited to Education and Social Transformation majors. Introduction to basics of learning sciences and learning theory, acknowledging that learning takes place in multiple contexts both inside and outside of the classroom. Discussion of promising practices to meet the needs of students at each stage of development. Letter grading.
