Description

(Same as Geography M131.) Lecture, three hours; reading period, one hour. Designed for juniors/seniors. Examination of history, mechanisms, and consequences of interactions between humans and environment. Exploration in depth of three thematic topics (deforestation, desertification, and greenhouse gas increase and ozone depletion) and four major subjects (soil, biodiversity, water, and landforms). P/NP or letter grading.
