Lecture, two hours. Enforced requisite: course 33B or proficiency demonstrated on English as a Second Language Placement Examination. Specialized topics in English as second language or English for academic purposes. Emphasis varies according to topics covered and/or audience to whom course is directed. May be repeated for credit with topic change. P/NP (undergraduates) or S/U (graduates) grading.
