Description

Lecture, three hours; outside study, nine hours. Requisite: course 146 or 147. Study of history, theory, and practice of north and south Indian classical music. Emphasis on music history and traditional theory and analysis of present-day forms, styles, techniques, and musical instruments. Concurrent participation in Indian performance group (course 91F) required. S/U or letter grading.
