Elementary French

Description

Lecture, two and one half hours. Enforced requisite: course 1 with grade of C- or better. Taught in French. Introductory study of French language and culture. Focus on interactive activities and application of concepts learned through outside self-study and foundational learning. Emphasis on proficiency, communication, and task-based learning to develop skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as cultural awareness. P/NP or letter grading.
