Seminar, two hours; fieldwork, four hours; outside study, seven hours. Limited to junior/senior Global Jazz Studies majors. Integration of academic work and hands-on training in outreach program. Participation in theoretical discussions of jazz education and application of these theories in elementary and secondary music and social studies classrooms. P/NP or letter grading.
