Seminar, six hours. Requisites: courses 1, 103. Corequisite: course 113AD. Study of international institutions dedicated to upholding human rights codified in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and developed over decades. Examples include the Hague Peace Conventions, the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Field trips included to gain first-hand experience of these institutions. Offered in summer only. P/NP or letter grading.
