Exploring Hugo Winners: Literature, Television, and Other Media

Description

Seminar, four hours. Enforced requisite: English Composition 3. Designed for College Honors students. Examination of works that have won the Hugo Award for best science fiction and fantasy. Analyzed works include short stories, novels, graphic texts, television, and games. Use of multiple lenses to understand these texts, including philosophy, cultural studies, and media studies. Satisfies Writing II requirement. Letter grading.
