Undergraduate Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology Education Research
Lecture, three hours; laboratory, two hours; outside study, 10 hours. Requisites: course 144, Life Sciences 7A, 7B, 7C, 7L, and Biostatistics 100 or Life Sciences 40 or Psychology 100A or Statistics 10 or 13 or 100A. Students engage in an authentic biology education research project to understand how biologists can apply the scientific process to study how students learn. Students gain experience exploring biology education research literature, developing research questions, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating their findings. Letter grading.
