Description

Lecture, three hours. Broad overview of the U.S. health-care system. Examination of the key stakeholders, trends, and disruptors shaping the system. Examination of relevant topics from the perspective of payers (private and employer-sponsored), providers (physicians and hospitals), producers (pharma and biotech, pharmacy benefit managers, health-care technology) and consumers (patients). Exploration and discussion of fundamental strategic, managerial, and economic challenges facing business leaders within the industry. Letter grading.
