Laboratory, four hours. Requisites: courses 10, 100A, 100B. Study of basic psychological research methods and how they are applied in social and affective neuroscience. In evaluating different methods, strengths and weaknesses are weighed with a specific focus on using different types of approaches to understand social and affective motivations in decision making. Focus on behavioral and physiological experimental approaches and on using an available dataset and analysis tools. May be repeated once for credit. P/NP or letter grading.
