Seminar, three hours. Queer themes in Scandinavian literature, mainly from 19th and 20th centuries. Scandinavian countries have had more progressive view on homosexuality than most other countries, and Scandinavian writers portrayed homosexuality in explicit and radical ways as early as turn of 19th century. Introduction to key theoretical works within field of gay and lesbian studies and queer studies, as well as presentation of historical view of how homosexuality has been perceived in Western world over time.
