Lecture, four hours. Interdisciplinary study of the tools, methodologies, and theoretical underpinnings inherent to the burgeoning field of digital humanities and how they form a significant tool for new research in the humanities. Emphasis on both practical skill acquisition and theoretical engagement, to leverage digital resources effectively in the pursuit of advanced research endeavors as applied to the languages, literatures, and cultures of the Spanish-speaking and Luso-Brazilian worlds. May be repeated for credit with topic change. P/NP or letter grading.
