Complete COMM 1 - Principles of Oral Communication or any approved Writing II course.

The Major
Complete all requirements from the following four groups.
Foundations of Public Health Knowledge and Practice
Complete the following five courses:
Public Health Electives
Complete three upper-division courses (minimum of 12 units) selected from the school's undergraduate course offerings. No more than 4 units from courses numbered 195 to 199 may be applied toward the elective requirement.
Select 3 from 13 options:
Community Engagement
Complete PUB HLT 195CE - Community and Corporate Internship in Public Health or an approved course.
Capstone Experience
Complete the following two courses:
Honors Program
To receive School Honors, students must complete all upper-division courses in the major with an overall grade-point average of 3.5 or better. For highest School Honors, students must also complete a senior thesis.
Highest Honors Thesis Requirement
To receive highest School Honors, complete a senior thesis by taking either Public Health 198 or a departmental 198 course. This course may not be counted as an elective course toward the major.
